subject : Bahamas--Maps--Early works to 1800.
Relief shown by soundings.; The Peninsula of Florida is delineated from an Original Spanish Draught (done in a very large scale)--entirely different from any extant, it was found on board a Spanish Ship taken by Admiral Frankland in the former war.; The Situation of Cabo del Canaveral is determined by several astronomical observations made by officers in both the British and Spanish Navys. The several points of the Bahama Islands as well as the soundings are adjusted by the observations of several British navigators.; Library also holds sheet 1, cataloged separately.
